Through a unified and fluid organization, Publicis Groupe partners with its clients across communication, media, data and technology to ensure access to the full breadth of capabilities in every market. Present in over 100 countries, Publicis Groupe employs around 103,000 professionals.
Job Description
The Director, AI & Data Strategy bridges strategic vision and operational execution, translating the MRCL platform's AI and data capabilities into practical frameworks that drive impact for clients and internal teams. This role is responsible for identifying where AI and data intersect to create competitive advantage, designing the strategies and methodologies that unlock that value, and working hand-in-hand with engineering and client delivery teams to bring them to life. The Director is a sharp analytical thinker with a strong grasp of both data infrastructure and applied AI - equally comfortable in a strategy deck and a data model review - and is expected to develop hands-on proficiency in building skills within MRCL's Kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement AI and data strategies that connect MRCL's platform capabilities to client and business outcomes
  • Define data requirements and frameworks that enable effective AI model performance, including data sourcing, quality standards, and governance practices
  • Learn and develop proficiency in building skills within MRCL's Kitchen, contributing directly to the platform's skill ecosystem and enabling more informed strategic recommendations
  • Lead the development of analytical methodologies, playbooks, and best practices for how MRCL's AI features are applied across use cases
  • Partner with the VP of AI Strategy to operationalize the platform's AI roadmap, ensuring strategic priorities translate into actionable workstreams
  • Collaborate with engineering and data teams to identify gaps between current platform capabilities and strategic requirements, and prioritize accordingly
  • Build strong working relationships with client-facing and practice leads to ensure AI and data strategies are grounded in real-world marketing needs
  • Track and communicate the impact of AI and data initiatives through clear metrics and executive-ready reporting

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in data, analytics, or technology roles, including experience with cross-functional teams and enterprise client delivery.
  • Solid understanding of AI and data concepts including model performance, data pipelines, and applied analytics
  • Ability to develop and operationalize strategy - moving fluidly between high-level frameworks and ground-level execution
  • Hands-on curiosity and willingness to build skills within the MRCL Kitchen environment
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills with experience translating data insights into strategic recommendations
  • Effective communicator and collaborator, comfortable working across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with data governance, quality standards, and requirements documentation
  • Familiarity with marketing technology ecosystems and how data and AI are applied in client-facing contexts
