Job description

Title:  Data Center Technician

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Maintenance:

Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage systems, network equipment, and other data centre hardware. 

  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting:

Monitor the performance of data Center systems, identify and resolve technical issues, and ensure optimal uptime. 

  • Physical Infrastructure: Manage the physical infrastructure of the data centre, including power, cooling, and cabling. 
  • Security: Implement and maintain security measures to protect data and systems from unauthorized access and threats. 
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures. 
  • Collaboration: Work with other IT staff, vendors, and contractors to ensure smooth operations. 
  • Staying Up to Date: Keep abreast of the latest technologies and best practices in data centre operations. 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of server hardware, networking protocols, operating systems, and virtualization technologies. 
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
