Job description

We are hiring an SEO Data Analyst, Streaming to join a top entertainment company in Los Angeles, CA. This freelance role will run until June 2027 and will be fully onsite in their LA office.
  • Pay Rate: $55/HR
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze SEO performance for assigned product lines or business areas, identifying opportunities for organic growth and surfacing anomalies.
  • Analyze SEO performance data across multiple platforms and 3rd party SEO data sources.
  • Prepare recurring (weekly, monthly, quarterly) SEO performance reports and translate findings into actionable recommendations for cross-functional partners.
  • Pull, validate, and synthesize data from multiple sources to support SEO analysis and reporting needs
  • Create and maintain dashboards to monitor core SEO KPIs and emerging AI search metrics
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities across traffic, rankings, and technical SEO performance
  • Track competitive landscape and conduct market analysis to identify search trends, performance gaps, and opportunities across priority keywords and content areas
  • Support forecasting and develop data-driven models to quantify the potential business impact of SEO initiatives, helping inform prioritization and strategic decision-making
  • Develop and maintain automated reporting workflows using APIs, SQL, and Python, where applicable
  • Assist in the creation of presentations and reporting materials, including PowerPoint decks for stakeholders
  • Monitor ongoing site performance across analytics platforms, crawls, alerts, and search tools
  • Support ad hoc data requests and analysis related to SEO initiatives
  • Keep pace with SEO, analytics, and digital marketing industry trends and developments, including AI-driven search changes
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years' experience in SEO, digital analytics, or a related field
  • Experience analyzing SEO performance for a product or brand with a global web presence, across multiple markets, locales, or languages.
  • Experience measuring performance across AI-powered search surfaces (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, etc)- strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in managing multiple data sources and workflows
  • A strong communicator who can clearly present data-driven insights
  • Passion and curiosity for SEO, data, and the evolving search landscape
  • Strong understanding of SEO KPIs and performance metrics, including familiarity with emerging AI search metrics
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO tools such as Botify, Semrush, and Similar Web- have exposur this will be an easier job for them
  • Strong skills in Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, advanced formulas)
  • Experience using Python or R for marketing analytics and reporting (data extraction, transformation, and analysis)- highly prefered- at min have excel
  • Ability to fetch and work with data via APIs
  • Intermediate SQL skills, with experience querying large datasets
  • Familiarity with dashboarding tools such as Looker Studio, Tableau, or similar platforms
  • Experience working with web crawling, scraping tools, and automation workflows
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into actionable insights
  • Strong understanding of SEO concepts and ability to analyze related data outputs
  • Comfortable storytelling with data and communicating insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience pulling and preparing monthly reports and creating presentation-ready materials
