Job Summary:
Shurtape Technologies is a leading manufacturer and marketer of adhesive tape, known for creating innovative solutions across various industries. The Senior Business Analyst, eCommerce serves as a strategic analytics partner to the eCommerce team, transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions and revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Identify and quantify key eCommerce growth drivers across traffic, conversion, merchandising, pricing, promotions, and channel mix
โ€ข Conduct deep-dive analyses on demand trends, seasonality, and competitive positioning utilizing market share data and other tools
โ€ข Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that drive revenue growth, profitability, and operational performance
โ€ข Develop and maintain KPI dashboards that provide real-time visibility into business performance
โ€ข Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and enable faster decision-making
โ€ข Leverage modern analytics and automation tools (including AI-driven workflows) to enhance insight generation and productivity
โ€ข Analyze Amazon demand patterns, forecast accuracy, and supply chain performance
โ€ข Identify gaps between demand, inventory, and forecast signals to reduce risk (e.g., stockouts, excess inventory)
โ€ข Partner with Sales and Supply Chain teams to improve forecasting, demand planning, and inventory decisions
โ€ข Provide insights to improve product placement, assortment strategies, and key account performance
โ€ข Evaluate and optimize merchandising tactics, including product variants, bundling, pricing, promotions, advertising and shipping strategies
โ€ข Support Product Development with data-driven insights on SKU rationalization, category performance, and channel dynamics
โ€ข Connect performance data across channels to support portfolio decisions
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Strong business acumen with the ability to connect data insights to strategic and operational business outcomes.
โ€ข Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
โ€ข Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, digitally driven environment.
โ€ข Demonstrated expertise in eCommerce reporting, including POS, advertising, supply chain, and P&L analytics.
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in business, Data Analytics, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MS in Analytics, etc.) highly desired.
โ€ข 5+ years of experience in eCommerce analytics, business intelligence, with proven experience translating data into actionable business insights and recommendations.
โ€ข Direct experience working with Amazon is required; experience with Walmart.com is highly preferred. Must demonstrate ability to expand expertise to additional customers and platforms.
โ€ข Strong business acumen with ability to connect analytics to revenue, profitability, and operational outcomes; experience analyzing performance across multiple drivers.
โ€ข Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Product teams.
โ€ข Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
โ€ข Expert ability to leverage data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) and working SQL/Python/R knowledge to provide insights.
โ€ข Ability to travel (up to 15%) as needed for business reviews and enterprise initiatives.
