A strategically important part of our charter is to drive adoption across a portfolio of self-service, cost per click advertising products to enable head to tail advertisers to engage with customers in relevant ways. Within our growing Amazon Ads Marketing organization, we are seeking an experienced Sr Marketing Manager to join our Americas SMB (Small Medium Business) Amazon Marketing team. This leader is responsible of overseeing the planning, execution, and analysis of all events to promote Amazon Ads to SMB audience. This position is a key leader of the Americas SMB marketing team by creating memorable and engaging experiences with SMBs to drive brand awareness and consideration.
The right candidate will be collaborative, results oriented, relentlessly focused on the customer, has the ability to make difficult decisions/trade-offs, and executes with high standards. They will be passionate about owning a new initiative and able to manage stakeholder feedback, develop goals based on inputs, and track success by standing up mechanisms and creating metrics.
Success in this role requires having a passion for SMBs, as well as a strong backbone, great communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to deal with a significant amount of ambiguity.
Key job responsibilities
- Strategy development: formulating event marketing strategies aligned with overall business and marketing objectives
- Content development and management: responsible for event content, and management of stakeholders from cross functional partners to speakers
- Team leadership: managing a team of coordinators, agency partners, internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of events
- Budget management: developing and managing budgets for events, optimizing costs while delivering impactful experiences.
- Collaboration: working closely with internal teams, such as SMB teams, GGS, PR, Legal, etc to integrate events into the overall marketing strategy.
- Vendor Management: identifying, negotiating with, and managing relationships with event vendors and partners
- Event Planning: overseeing the end to end planning and logistics and content of events
- Promotion and Outreach: Creating promotional strategies to drive attendance, collaborating on marketing materials, and utilizing various channels for event outreach.
- Analysis and Reporting: measuring the success of events through post-event analysis, gathering feedback, and providing insights for continuous improvement
- Brand Representation: Ensuring events reflect and enhance the brand image, fostering positive associations with attendees.
- Adaptability: staying updated on industry trends, technologies, and event best practices to bring innovation to the event marketing strategy.
About the team
The Americas SMB (Small and Medium Businesses) marketing team serves sales unmanaged advertisers globally. Our mission is twofold: 1) Grow Amazon Ads awareness & consideration amongst SMBs globally 2) Drive Sponsored Ads demand for the self service (SSO) channel.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of driving compelling creative strategy and execution at an agency or in-house creative team experience
- Experience developing cross-functional relationships with product, consumer research and marketing teams to develop strategy and consumer insights that drive compelling creative executions
- Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines
- Bachelor's degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience leading creative development of innovative creative from concept to delivery
- Experience managing creative (internal team of designers, copywriters, external agencies and freelancers)
- Experience presenting creative concepts effectively to senior executives

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
