Job description

We are seeking a Systems Engineer with experience in industrial control systems, motor control, PLC programming, safety systems, and electrical controls. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AC/DC drives, industrial networking, software testing and commissioning, and AutoCAD schematics. A background in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is preferred.
  • Pay range :$ 70/hr to $80/hr w2

Responsibilities:
  • Design and support motor control cabinets, I/O enclosures, field sensors, cabling, and related control systems.
  • Program, tune, test, and commission AC and DC drives.
  • Develop and support safety-related control systems.
  • Create software development plans, technical documentation, and testing documentation.
  • Use version control and collaboration tools for software development.
  • Work with industrial network protocols including AS-i, INTERBUS, ControlNet, Profinet, CIP, and EtherNet/IP.
  • Perform software testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and system validation.
  • Create, interpret, and mark up AutoCAD assemblies and electrical schematics.
  • Support safety PLCs, safety devices, and functional safety system designs.
  • Contribute to risk assessments and designs based on applicable functional safety standards.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience with AC/DC drive programming and tuning.
  • Experience with safety-related control systems and safety PLCs.
  • Familiarity with IEC 61131, including Ladder Diagram and Structured Text.
  • Knowledge of industrial network protocols such as Profinet, EtherNet/IP, CIP, ControlNet, AS-i, and INTERBUS.
  • Experience with software development planning, documentation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Experience with version control and collaboration tools.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and modify AutoCAD assemblies and schematics.
  • Knowledge of I/O and supervisory network systems.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic servo control systems is a plus.
  • Experience with IEC/ISO functional safety standards and risk assessments is preferred.
