Odyssey Systems is seeking a Senior Computer Scientist / Engineer to support advanced situational awareness and Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) initiatives. This role focuses on designing and developing a common software architecture that integrates diverse applications, sensors, and data sources into a unified operational system.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Lead the design and development of a common software architecture that integrates diverse applications and data sources into a unified operational system.
โ€ข Develop innovative technical solutions that address complex operational requirements and enhance situational awareness capabilities.
โ€ข Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams, ensuring alignment with program goals and organizational objectives.
โ€ข Resolve highly complex technical challenges using advanced technical knowledge, conceptual reasoning, and innovative problem-solving approaches.
โ€ข Conduct research and apply industry best practices and emerging technologies to develop mission-focused software solutions.
โ€ข Support development and integration of large-scale systems that combine multiple data sources, applications, and platforms.
โ€ข Collaborate with executive leadership, government stakeholders, and program leadership to advocate for new concepts, practices, and architectural approaches.
โ€ข Serve as a subject matter expert in software architecture and systems integration, mentoring junior engineers and technical staff.

Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Must be a US citizen
โ€ข Active Secret clearance (ability to obtain TS/SCI with CI Poly required)
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related STEM field
โ€ข 8 years of Relevant Experience
โ€ข Strong expertise in RF engineering, spectrum management, signal processing, and sensor systems.
โ€ข Hands-on experience with sensors, radar, communications systems, and electronic warfare platforms.
โ€ข Proficiency in signal processing software and languages and experience with AI/ML applied to sensor data.
โ€ข Familiarity with multi-domain operational concepts, situational awareness systems, and DoD sensor architectures.
โ€ข Demonstrated ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, lead technical efforts, and communicate complex concepts to stakeholders.
Preferred:
โ€ข Masterโ€™s or Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical discipline
โ€ข 10+ years of Relevant Experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, or defense technology programs
โ€ข Experience supporting large-scale systems integration, situational awareness platforms, or operational command and control systems
โ€ข Expertise in integrating diverse applications and data sources into unified systems
โ€ข In-depth understanding of software architecture principles, theories, and concepts
โ€ข Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in software architecture and systems integration
โ€ข Strong ability to resolve highly complex problems using advanced technical knowledge and reasoning
โ€ข Demonstrated success in leading technical teams and influencing strategic outcomes
โ€ข Exceptional communication skills, with experience engaging executive leadership and stakeholders
โ€ข Ability to mentor and develop technical teams
โ€ข Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities effectively
