Description:

The Community Integrated Services (CIS) Aide supports clients through supervision, instruction, and documentation both on-site and in community settings. This position assists with the implementation of training programs, ensures client safety, and helps maintain a structured and supportive learning environment.


  • Assist with client instruction and skill development, as assigned
  • Support the implementation of individualized training programs
  • Observe client behavior and progress and complete required documentation
  • Assist with client arrival and departure procedures, including attendance and health checks
  • Report unusual incidents or concerns to the Service Team Coordinator (STC)
  • Provide input regarding program improvements to the Program Assistant or Program Manager
  • Assist with scheduling needs, as requested
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and supportive teaching environment
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Department of Justice fingerprint clearance
  • Health screening and TB clearance within 7 days of employment
  • Valid California Driver’s License or California Identification Card
  • CPR Certification within 45 days of employment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a related discipline or working with individuals with disabilities
  • Ability to role-model socially appropriate behavior and attitudes
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods during the workday
  • Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to support training activities or retrieve materials
  • Good hearing and vision to monitor client activities and ensure safety
  • Good general health and mobility
  • Ability to lift at least 10 pounds
  • Ability to speak clearly and be easily understood
  • Physical stamina to work up to 5 hours per day, Monday through Friday
Mental & Cognitive Requirements
  • Ability to understand and translate training activities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic math skills to complete client records and reports
  • Writing skills to complete reports and client ID notes
  • Strong observation skills
  • Flexibility to manage multiple tasks
  • Sound judgment related to training, service quality, and safety
