Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. and its affiliate corporations are the largest providers of community-based behavioral healthcare in Southwestern Indiana, offering a full range of mental health and addictions treatment and related educational services.

We are seeking a full-time Employment Services Coach, Community Support Services to add to our team of professionals.  This position will be responsible for performing accounting functions as well as maintaining accurate financial records in compliance with all regulatory timelines and those of Southwestern Healthcare, Inc. and its affiliate organizations.

WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR?

  1. Provide community-based services to the SMI population that support and align with their assessed needs and treatment plan goals and objectives.
  2. Prioritize utilization of Skills Training to assist clients in removing/reducing barriers to attending to Activities of Daily Living, accessing all needed healthcare, and increasing level of community integration and independence.
  3. Provide employment services to an adult population.  Working with individuals through all steps of the employment process to achieve positive outcomes.
  4. Provide emergency interventions for own caseload when needed.
  5. Utilize Illness Management and Recovery and Motivational Interviewing to engage clients to support and promote their recovery.
  6. Utilize available tools in the Electronic Medical Record to ensure time sensitive tasks are consistently completed in a timely manner.
  7. Complete all documentation within company standards.
  8. Meet established productivity standards.
  9. Develop positive relationships with local employers and staff at Office of Vocational Rehabilitation to create vocational opportunities for Southwestern clients.
  10. Function as an integral member of each clients Treatment Team.
  11. Actively participate in staff meetings and trainings to better facilitate quality client care.
  12. Assist those with limited English proficiency, or other communication challenges, in accessing services via appropriate methods.
  13. Assist consumers with access to CCBHC services regardless of area of residence.
  14. Coordinate with other systems to meet the needs of those served, including criminal.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

  1. Conduct consultation and education activities to community and professional groups as needed.
  2. Maintain contact with other services providers, community agencies, schools, and civic organizations to enhance community awareness and public relations.

WHAT'S REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION?

  1. Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice or other related field.
  2. Experience working with adult individuals who have experienced mental health difficulties is preferable.
  3. Experience working in the field of supportive employment is preferable.
  4. Ability to work flexible hours.
  5. Must have and maintain a valid Indiana driver’s license.
  6. Must obtain and maintain crisis intervention and verbal de-escalation training. 
  7. Must obtain and maintain ANSA certification.
