Biotech Health Data Governance Lead (AI Training)
About the Role
What if your expertise in biotech data governance could directly shape how AI understands and works with life sciences research at the highest level? We're looking for a Biotech Health Data Governance Lead to ensure that clinical trial and research data is accurate, traceable, compliant, and ready to power scientific discovery, regulatory filings, and advanced AI-driven analytics.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for experienced professionals in biotech, life sciences, or regulated data environments who want to do meaningful, high-impact work on their own terms.

What You'll Do
  • Govern biotech research and clinical trial data to ensure accuracy, lineage, and auditability across scientific analysis and regulatory submissions
  • Define and enforce data policies for classification, access, security, and metadata across research, clinical, regulatory, and partner teams
  • Enable secure, governed access to data for analytics, innovation, and external collaborations while protecting confidential and patient-related information
  • Collaborate with scientific, IT, compliance, and business stakeholders to align data standards, workflows, and governance frameworks
  • Support AI model development by ensuring underlying life sciences data meets the highest standards of quality and compliance
Who You Are
  • Experienced in leading or implementing data governance programs in biotech, life sciences, clinical research, or regulated data environments
  • Strong understanding of data privacy, security, compliance, and regulatory expectations for research and clinical trial data
  • Skilled at bridging scientific, technical, and business teams to align on data standards and best practices
  • Detail-oriented, systematic, and confident working independently in a remote, asynchronous environment
  • Comfortable navigating complex, multi-stakeholder data ecosystems with clarity and authority
Nice to Have
  • Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as FDA 21 CFR Part 11, ICH E6, GDPR, or HIPAA
  • Background in clinical data management, biostatistics, or health informatics
  • Experience working with AI or machine learning teams in a life sciences context
