Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our growing Site Development practice in Bridgeport, West Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience, build technical expertise, and contribute to meaningful site development and infrastructure projects while working alongside experienced licensed engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design and preparation of site development plans, including site layout, grading, utility systems, and stormwater management using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Perform engineering calculations related to stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, earthwork, and other civil design elements under the guidance of a Professional Engineer.
  • Support the preparation of technical reports, permit applications, and regulatory documentation.
  • Participate in field activities including site visits, construction observation, and project inspections to support project execution and gain practical experience.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including geotechnical, environmental, ecological, survey, and construction professionals.
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously while contributing to project planning, design development, and project delivery efforts.
  • Develop technical skills in site development design, permitting, project delivery, and client service through hands-on project experience, mentorship, and support toward professional licensure.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related required
  • Previous Internship and/or related Engineering experience is a plus
  • FE Completed/Engineer in Training certification (EIT/EI) preferred
  • AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience is a plus
  • Interest in Site Development including Layout, Grading, Stormwater, Erosion & Sediment Control, and Permitting
