A Freelance Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is an experienced financial executive who works with organizations on a contract or part-time basis, rather than as a full-time employee. Freelance CFOs are often hired by startups, small businesses, or companies undergoing transitions that need high-level financial expertise without the commitment of a permanent hire.

As a Freelance Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will often work remotely or on a part-time basis, collaborating closely with each client’s executive team and finance staff. It's common to use cloud-based accounting and collaboration tools to streamline workflows and ensure transparency with all stakeholders.
