Have you worked as an Event Producer, Event Production Manager, Independent AV Sales Rep, Venue Sales Manager, Trade Show Contractor, Event Designer, or in a similar role?

Role Overview

As an Industry Sales Partner, you will help drive Smartstage’s growth by using your connections and expertise to generate new business. This role is ideal for self‐starters who thrive in a commission‐only model and are already active in freelance or contract work.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage your network to identify and prospect clients in the entertainment, corporate, and live event sectors.
  • Promote Smartstage’s rental products and services, clearly communicating value and capabilities.
  • Develop customized proposals and quotes based on client needs.
  • Provide excellent customer service throughout the sales cycle—from initial contact to close.
  • Follow up on leads, nurture client relationships, and meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Collaborate with our production team to ensure seamless delivery and execution.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities, pipelines, and client interactions using CRM tools.
  • Attend industry mixers, trade shows, and networking events to expand awareness and opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in the event, AV, production, or entertainment industry is required.
  • Strong existing network of industry contacts.
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, pitch, and close in a commission-only environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‐building skills.
  • Highly self‐motivated, proactive, and entrepreneurial.
