  • Select components including microcontrollers, sensors, power supplies, connectors, and communication interfaces.
  • Develop, assemble, and validate hardware prototypes.
  • Perform hardware debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
  • Support embedded hardware development alongside software engineers, including basic firmware bring-up and debugging.
  • Participate in product redesigns driven by component obsolescence, cost reduction, and performance improvements.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation including schematics, BOMs, test procedures, and design records.
  • Support manufacturing, production, and sustaining engineering efforts to improve product quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout product development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of electrical/electronics product development experience.
  • Strong experience designing PCBAs, schematics, and electronic circuits.
  • Experience with PCB design software such as Altium Designer, KiCad, Cadence, OrCAD, EAGLE, or similar.
  • Experience designing embedded hardware using microcontrollers.
  • Familiarity with communication interfaces such as USB, SPI, I²C, UART, Ethernet, or CAN.
  • Experience with analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting hardware prototypes and production issues.
  • Basic embedded firmware experience using C/C++ is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following industries is a plus:

  • Industrial Automation
  • Scientific Instrumentation
  • Test & Measurement
  • Robotics
  • Medical Devices
  • Semiconductor Equipment
  • Automotive Electronics
  • Industrial Controls
  • Advanced Manufacturing

What You'll Bring
