• Conduct comprehensive remote assessments and evaluations to identify clients' mental health concerns within the hospice framework, ensuring accurate understanding to inform treatment plans.
• Provide individualized therapy sessions using diverse evidence-based therapeutic modalities, adapting your approach to accommodate each client’s unique needs and circumstances.
• Collaborate with clients to set measurable therapeutic goals and regularly monitor progress, refining treatment plans as necessary to optimize client outcomes.
• Utilize teletherapy techniques to deliver effective counseling services to clients who prefer virtual interactions or face challenges in accessing traditional therapy environments.
• Ensure all documentation is maintained with precision, meeting ethical and legal requirements while enabling efficient tracking of client progress and treatment effectiveness.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development opportunities, such as workshops or seminars, to enhance your skills and stay informed of best practices in mental health counseling.

The clients you will serve are pre-screened, stable individuals experiencing low acuity mental health issues. Working within a hospice care environment, you will address the emotional and psychological needs of clients coping with serious illnesses. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping these clients navigate their feelings, fears, and hopes during a challenging time in their lives.

• A Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a closely-related field is mandatory.
• An active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is required. Candidates with provisional licenses or interns will not be considered for this role.
• Proficiency in managing caseloads independently, including scheduling sessions and performing case management, is essential.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are a must to facilitate effective client interactions and ensure clear documentation.

• A minimum of three years of relevant counseling experience, preferably in hospice care or similar settings.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to clients in sensitive situations.
• A history of maintaining a positive professional reputation without any disciplinary actions on your license.

Full-time counselors in this position can expect a competitive annual salary ranging from $115,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience. Additionally, you will receive a generous monthly healthcare stipend as part of your benefits package.
