Job description

You will be part of a team which works together to help our patients feel as comfortable as possible. You will spend ample time with the patient; so, you play a vital role in helping the patient feel relaxed and assured.

The back office Medical Assistant (MA) role is to provide clinical support to the Physician in examination and treatment of patients.

duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Performs patient intakes and initial vital signs-triage patients
  • Taking Xrays
  • Collecting and processing of lab specimens
  • EKG
  • Assisting with wound care
  • Triage of patients
  • Suture removal
  • Drug testing
  • Administering Injections
  • Phlebotomy
  • Splinting/Casting
  • Other duties as needed

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or the equivalent
  • Medical Assistant Certification
  • Basic Machine Operator license or Xray License
  • Ideally has Urgent Care/ER experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Understands Medical terminology
  • Organize and perform multiple tasks
  • Prioritize duties in a fast paced, high volume environment
  • Completed the medical assistant training program
