Job description

A premier national labor and employment law firm is seeking a highly skilled Mid-Senior Level Wage & Hour Associate Attorney to join their growing Denver office. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven attorney to manage complex wage and hour matters and collaborate with a team that values excellence and professional development.
In this role, you will handle class and collective actions under the Colorado Wage Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act, advise clients on regulatory compliance, and represent clients in litigation matters from inception to resolution. The firm is looking for a proactive, self-motivated attorney who excels at managing multiple cases and delivering top-tier client service.
Salary Range: $175,000 - $230,000 / year DOE
Mid-Senior Level Wage & Hour Associate Attorney Responsibilities:
  • Manage wage and hour class and collective action litigation, including case strategy and client communications
  • Draft and respond to discovery, initial pleadings, dispositive motions, and agency position statements
  • Represent clients in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials
  • Interpret and apply Colorado Department of Labor and Employment and U.S. Department of Labor regulations and guidance materials
  • Advise clients on compliance with wage and hour laws and related employment regulations
  • Work closely with multiple partners across varied case types, leveraging the firm's free market system to select preferred cases

Mid-Senior Level Wage & Hour Associate Attorney Requirements:
  • 4+ years of wage and hour litigation experience, including class and collective action cases
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Colorado State Bar
  • Strong knowledge of the Colorado Wage Act and Fair Labor Standards Act
  • Experience interpreting state and federal wage and hour regulations
  • Excellent academic credentials with strong legal writing and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable drafting and arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions
  • Prior experience in a labor and employment-focused law firm
  • Strong client advisory experience related to workplace policies and compliance is preferred
