Job Summary:
Free Market Health, founded in 2019 and headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, supports payers and specialty pharmacies in navigating the healthcare market. They are seeking a Data Engineer to build and optimize data infrastructure, develop scalable data pipelines, and ensure data accessibility and security for both internal and client-facing applications.
Responsibilities:
โข Build, optimize, and maintain data pipelines and data architecture to support analytics and application development
โข Design scalable data solutions that improve accessibility, reliability, and performance of data systems
โข Develop analytics tools and datasets that enable actionable insights for internal teams and business development efforts
โข Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve data delivery and workflows
โข Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver iterative solutions
โข Ensure the security, privacy, and integrity of sensitive healthcare data in collaboration with cloud and security teams
โข Support troubleshooting and resolution of data-related technical issues across teams
Qualifications:
Required:
โข Minimum 3 years of experience managing data and data solutions
โข Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases
โข Strong analytic skills related to working with structured and unstructured datasets
โข Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and scalable data stores.
โข Experience with the following tool/databases/technologies: Azure, Azure SQL, ADLS, SQL, Python, Scala, Databricks/Delta Lake, dbt/dbt Cloud
โข Ability to work within a team, communicating and documenting effectively
Preferred:
โข Healthcare Technology Experience preferred
โข Bachelorโs degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar preferred
