Job Summary:
Free Market Health is a company founded in 2019 and headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, focusing on supporting payers and specialty pharmacies in the healthcare market. They are seeking an Implementation Project Manager to lead client program implementations, ensuring successful delivery and client satisfaction through strong project governance and coordination across teams.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Own endโ€‘toโ€‘end delivery of large, multiโ€‘workstream client implementation projects.
โ€ข Coordinate technical integrations, operational setup, communications, and pharmacy network onboarding.
โ€ข Serve as primary point of coordination across crossโ€‘functional internal teams and external partners (health plans, PBMs, pharmacy offices).
โ€ข Establish and maintain structured project cadence (daily, weekly, monthly) and lead crossโ€‘functional project meetings.
โ€ข Monitor project execution, identify risks or issues, and drive mitigation and escalation as appropriate.
โ€ข Ensure adherence to contractual scope, timelines, and strategic client partnership objectives.
โ€ข Provide routine project status reporting to internal leadership and client executives.
โ€ข Support scope changes and revisions to statements of work as needed.
โ€ข Oversee smaller launches and expansions with existing client partners.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in a relevant field (e.g., pharmacy operations, systems engineering, operations research, software development).
โ€ข Healthcare industry experience, preferably supporting health plan operations, pharmacy operations, or pharmacy claims.
โ€ข 3 years of program or project management experience, with demonstrated ownership of scope, schedule, and cost.
โ€ข Strong understanding of prior authorization and pharmacy claims processes, including supporting data structures.
โ€ข Ability to lead and facilitate both tactical working sessions and executiveโ€‘level meetings.
โ€ข Experience operating in both waterfall and agile delivery environments.
Preferred:
โ€ข Familiarity with agile project management tools (e.g. Jira, Trello, Confluence) preferred.
โ€ข Experience with traditional project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, Smartsheet) preferred.
โ€ข Functional understanding of SQL and basic BI tools preferred.
