Job description

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Critical Care or Pulmonary Critical Care physician to join our team and meet the growing demand for Pulmonary and Critical Care services in Michigan City, Indiana. Physician will join an established group of physicians and advanced practice providers at our state-of-the-art hospital, Franciscan Health Michigan City.

WHAT WE NEED:

The ideal candidate will have a focus on caring for adult patients with lung disease and/or critical illness; with experience in clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. The candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills and a desire to develop strong ties with the community and build long-lasting relationships with patients and their families. The physician will work collaboratively to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care.


WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

  1. Pulmonary: weekly clinic schedule, alternating 1:4 with inpatient rounds
  2. Call: 1:4
  3. Possible outreach to surrounding areas
  4. Average outpatient volume: 18 – 20 patients per day
  5. Average inpatient volume: varies due to hospital census
