Overview
The QSR Team Leader greets and serves guests, prepares food, maintains food safety and sanitation standards, and handles or processes light paperwork. The Team Leader also assists in training of new employees and some ordering. Exceptional customer service is a major component of this job!
Responsibilities
  • Exhibits a cheerful and helpful manner while greeting guests and preparing their orders
  • Demonstrates a complete understanding of the menu items and explains them to guests accurately
  • Uses plus-selling techniques and makes customers aware of promotions
  • Rings food orders on the register and collects payment from guests making change accordingly
  • Prepares food neatly, according to formula, in a timely manner
  • Checks products in food & beverage areas and restocks items to ensure a sufficient supply throughout shift
  • Understands and adheres to proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards during food preparation, service and clean up
  • Cleans and maintains all food service areas, including the guest seating area and display cases, to promote a clean image
  • Cleans and sanitizes all food service utensils and dishes in the three compartment sink (wash, rinse, sanitize)
  • Understands and adheres to all quality standards, formulas and procedures as required in the Franchise Operations Manual
  • Routinely monitors and records food temperatures on a log to ensure safe holding temperatures of hot and refrigerated foods
  • Maintains a professional appearance and grooming standards
  • Performs light paperwork duties as assigned
  • Works safely with various food service equipment as dictated by the franchise (i.e. ovens, microwaves, toasters, meat slicers, knives, deep fryers, can openers, etc.)
  • Completes the training courses as directed and/or dictated by the franchise
  • Assists the Franchise Manager with some ordering
  • Trains Associates and verifies understanding

Qualifications
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Job requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division and multiplication)
  • Ability to show patience and articulate well during the training of new employees
  • Ability to lift 10 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Must have (or be able to obtain obtain) a Food Safety Certification
