Position Summary
Arepet Industries is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Night Shift Maintenance Technician to support operations at our frac sand load out facility. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment including rotary dryers, conveyor systems, hoppers, motors, bearings, and related processing equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations during night shift hours.
The ideal candidate will have industrial maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on plant equipment and machinery
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues during operations
  • Repair and maintain rotary dryers, conveyor belts, rollers, hoppers, motors, gearboxes, bearings, and related equipment
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and operational issues to minimize downtime
  • Conduct welding, fabrication, and minor structural repairs as needed
  • Replace worn or damaged components including belts, bearings, chains, pulleys, and motors
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in maintenance and production areas
  • Complete maintenance logs, inspection reports, and repair documentation accurately
  • Follow all company safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and MSHA regulations
  • Coordinate with operations personnel to ensure efficient production flow
  • Assist with startup and shutdown procedures for plant equipment when necessary
  • Identify and communicate potential equipment failures or safety concerns proactively
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
  • Experience in aggregate, frac sand, mining, asphalt, cement, or similar industrial environments preferred
  • Knowledge of conveyors, rotary equipment, motors, bearings, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting experience preferred
  • Welding and fabrication experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and work orders
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work night shift schedule consistently
  • Ability to safely operate a telehandler/SkyTrak forklift and other mobile equipment as needed for maintenance and operational support
  • Must be comfortable working at heights, including elevated platforms, catwalks, ladders, and equipment structures
  • Must be comfortable working in confined spaces in accordance with company safety procedures and permit requirements
  • Ability to safely perform duties in a physically demanding industrial environment

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in industrial environments for extended periods
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Must be able to wear required PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, and steel-toe boots
