Job Summary

The Customer Service Specialist will perform customer service duties, act as a liaison between customers and various FPS teams while serving as the customer’s primary contact. Requires a proficient knowledge of procedures and a good understanding of work routines within your own job. Understands how assigned duties relate to those within the team and how the team works to accomplish the goals of the area. Requires no direct supervisory responsibility. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the procedures to evaluate and select appropriate alternatives from defined options in various situations. Provides value to team with quality and accuracy of tasks performed. Impacts performance and effectiveness of work team with the quality of work produced. Possesses strong communication skills for the important and regular exchange of information.

Position-Specific Responsibilities

• The Customer Service Representative (CSR) will serve as the point of contact for the full customer order cycle including inquiries, order status updates, product availability, & invoices.
• The CSR needs to demonstrate solid problem-solving skills when issues arise. Handling challenges in a professional matter is critical in assuring our customers’ satisfaction.
• The CSR will work closely together with our Supply Chain Team & Sales Teams.
• The CSR will assist their assigned Account Managers in collecting AR
• The CSR will review and assist Account Managers in managing vendor managed stock
• Demonstrated skills in both verbal and written communications.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and effectively work independently.
• Must also have the ability to work collaboratively with others as part of a team.
• Advanced knowledge of computers and related software.
• Demonstrates ability to develop and maintain positive rapport with customers
• The CSR will work on special projects as required

Background Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years of continuous Customer Service.
• Previous FIBC – bulk bags experience a definite plus.
• Must possess a great sense of humor, team-spirit, attention to details and a positive can-do attitude.
• Must possess analytical and problem-solving skills, be self-motivated and manage multiple and shifting priorities while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have a proven track record of building positive business relationships with both internal and external customers and possess the ability to provide complete and timely follow-through on all issues and requests.
• Must be proficient in Excel, Outlook & Word. Comfortable with using ERP system.
• Bi-lingual English/ Spanish a plus.
