Job Description – Facilities Electrical Engineer

FSLA Status: Exempt

Location: Lordstown, OH

Reports To: Maintenance Manager

Direct Reports: None

Primary Function: The Facilities Engineer will provide support to the maintenance department by programming installations of equipment, identify inefficiencies, and trouble shoot equipment in the plant.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support Manufacturing by repairing electrical devices
  • Use CAD to assist in design.
  • Troubleshoot electrical equipment.
  • Update program backups for automation/machines/test equipment/robots/etc.
  • Program new installations of machining and assembly equipment
  • Troubleshoot high voltage electric
  • Must be able to read and comprehend blueprints.
  • Identify and implement controls solutions to improve safety, quality and delivery
  • Must be able to design safe solutions to major electrical issues.

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Controls Engineering or 3-5 Years of Experience with Controls.


Required Experience

  • 3 phase 480V troubleshooting experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Automotive industry experience
  • Electrical Background (electrician or technician) experience
  • Experience with Siemens programming
  • Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls experience
