The Role of the Director of Commercial

As Director of Commercial, you will play a key leadership role in driving the overall commercial strategy and business performance of Four Seasons Riyadh Hotel. You will be responsible for maximizing revenue, market share, brand positioning, and profitability across all commercial functions including Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, Reservations, Public Relations, and Digital Marketing.

This role requires a strategic and visionary leader who can develop and execute innovative commercial initiatives aligned with Four Seasons brand standards and the hotel’s business objectives. You will work closely with the General Manager, and Regional Commercial teams to ensure strong market presence, revenue growth, and exceptional guest engagement across all business segments.

As part of the hotel’s executive leadership team, you will contribute to the overall success of the property by leading high-performing teams, building strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and positioning the hotel as one of the leading ultra-luxury destinations in the region.

You will oversee all commercial strategies related to transient, group, leisure, wholesale, and corporate business while ensuring strong collaboration between operational and commercial departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences and financial results.

Area of Responsibility Commercial Strategy & Leadership
  • Develop and execute the resort’s overall commercial strategy aligned with business objectives and Four Seasons standards.
  • Lead and manage the Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, Reservations, and PR teams.
  • Identify new revenue opportunities and business segments to maximize profitability and market share.
  • Drive forecasting, budgeting, and commercial planning processes.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and business performance to develop strategic action plans.
  • Ensure alignment between operational and commercial teams to achieve business goals.
Sales & Business Development
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, partners, luxury travel advisors, and corporate clients.
  • Oversee sales activities across all market segments including leisure, corporate, wholesale, and group business.
  • Support international sales trips, trade shows, client events, and networking opportunities.
  • Ensure achievement of sales targets and revenue objectives.
Marketing & Brand Positioning
  • Oversee marketing, branding, digital presence, and public relations strategies.
  • Ensure all marketing initiatives reflect Four Seasons brand standards and positioning.
  • Collaborate with regional and corporate teams on campaigns and promotional activities.
  • Drive brand awareness and positioning within key luxury travel markets.
Revenue Management & Reservations
  • Oversee pricing strategies, forecasting, inventory management, and distribution channels.
  • Ensure effective revenue optimization across rooms, F&B, spa, and other revenue streams.
  • Monitor business pace and market demand to adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Support reservations and distribution operations to maximize conversion and guest satisfaction.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of commercial leadership experience within luxury hospitality.
  • Strong background in Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, and business development.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and strategic planning abilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of luxury hospitality market trends and customer expectations.
  • Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Experience with hotel systems, revenue management tools, and CRM platforms preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
