Responsibilities- Direct and coordinate the activities of personnel in the foundry, maintenance, and sandblast departments during assigned shifts.
- Oversee pre-production shift preparations, including setup and preparation of melting units and casting machines.
- Monitor metals inventory and assist with production scheduling for foundry operations.
- Ensure efficient department operations focused on productivity, cost control, and safety.
- Identify and address procedural issues, collaborating with the foundry foreman to implement corrective actions.
- Train and develop team members in proper foundry techniques and safety practices.
- Recommend improvements to foundry operations, including cost reduction, quality enhancement, and safety initiatives.
- Coordinate activities with supervisors and other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to team-based projects.
