Position Overview

Foundations Counseling, Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Virtual Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This full-time remote position offers professionals the opportunity to provide mental health support to clients across the United States, where you will leverage modern technology to facilitate impactful therapeutic interactions. The role offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 110,000 annually, complemented by a robust benefits package.

Work Environment

This position allows you to work from the comfort of your home, utilizing a user-friendly virtual platform designed for secure and effective therapy sessions. You will primarily conduct individual and group counseling via video chat, ensuring a supportive and safe environment for clients. Flexibility is a key component of this role, as you will manage your schedule within typical business hours, from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at promoting the psychological well-being of your clients, including:

  • Conducting virtual therapy sessions using secure video conferencing tools, ensuring confidentiality and comfort.
  • Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans that reflect each client’s specific issues, strengths, and therapeutic goals.
  • Utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and evidence-based practices to facilitate client progress.
  • Monitoring and documenting client progress, adjusting therapeutic approaches as necessary based on feedback and ongoing assessments.
  • Collaborating with other mental health professionals or healthcare providers as appropriate, to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on adult clients dealing with a range of mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. By understanding diverse backgrounds and individual challenges, you will help empower clients to develop effective coping strategies, enhance self-awareness, and build resilience in their daily lives.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
  • Current and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and maintain a flexible schedule.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a strong foundation in various therapeutic techniques and modalities.
  • Proficiency with virtual platforms and confidence in utilizing technology for telehealth practices.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experience is preferred:

  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling or therapy.
  • Experience with telehealth platforms and virtual counseling.
  • Familiarity with integrating holistic approaches into therapy, if applicable.
