Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team in Suffolk County. The Medical Scribe will work alongside physicians and healthcare providers to document patient encounters in real-time, allowing providers to focus more on direct patient care.  This job is a float position that may include travel to our office locations in Smithtown, Centereach, Patchogue, Port Jefferson Shirely, Mineola, Rockville Center, Westbury, and Farmingdale.

WE ARE OFFERING A SIGN ON BONUS OF $500 AND A GAS STIPEND AS THIS ROLE REQUIRES TRAVEL!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately document patient history, physical exam findings, procedures, and diagnostic test results as dictated by the provider.

  • Enter patient information into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Assist in preparing charts for upcoming patient visits.

  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of medical records.

  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

  • Perform clerical duties as needed (e.g., managing paperwork, locating test results).

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; college coursework in healthcare or pre-medical studies preferred.  MAs encouraged to apply!

  • Prior experience as a scribe, medical assistant, or in a clinical setting is a plus.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.

  • Proficiency with EHR systems.

  • Excellent listening, communication, and typing skills.

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
