The main difference between Fortune 50 and Fortune 100 lies in company size and revenue. Fortune 50 companies are the largest U.S. firms with revenues exceeding $50 billion, while Fortune 100 includes the top 100 companies, with revenues generally between $10 billion and $50 billion. Both operate in similar corporate environments and industries, but Fortune 50 companies tend to be more influential and have larger workforces.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Fortune 50 executive, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Fortune 50 executive, you need extensive leadership experience, strategic business acumen, and a proven track record in driving organizational growth, often supported by an advanced degree such as an MBA. Familiarity with enterprise-level software, financial management systems, and industry-specific compliance frameworks is typically required. Exceptional communication, decision-making abilities, and resilience under pressure distinguish top performers in this role. These competencies are crucial for steering large, complex organizations toward sustainable success in highly competitive markets.

What can job seekers expect from the team culture when working at a Fortune 50 company?

Working at a Fortune 50 company typically means joining a large, diverse team with a strong emphasis on collaboration and innovation. Employees often engage in cross-functional projects, interacting with colleagues from various departments and sometimes across global offices. While the work environment is fast-paced and results-driven, there are also robust support structures such as mentorship programs and professional development opportunities. Navigating such a vast organization can be challenging, but it offers unparalleled exposure to best industry practices and a clear path for career advancement.

What are Fortune 50 companies?

Fortune 50 companies are the fifty largest corporations in the United States as ranked by Fortune magazine, based on their annual revenues. This list is a subset of the Fortune 500, which ranks the top 500 U.S. companies each year. Being part of the Fortune 50 is a mark of significant scale, influence, and economic impact. These companies span industries such as technology, healthcare, energy, financial services, and retail, and are known for their global presence and leadership in their sectors.

Job description

Position Description
Salt Lake City, UT

Mid to Senior-Level Designer wanted
We have an immediate need for a lead designer who is proficient in brand and web. Here are some key components of what we’re looking for:

  • Top-level branding chops: conceptual thinking, sketching, typographic principles, color theory, layout and grid systems, branding and brand principles, UI/UX, rapid ideation and prototyping of ideas, translating brand values and messaging into visual representation.
  • Software: You have proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Google Suite, Figma, and other design tools. Some Illustration, 3D, and motion experience is a plus.
  • You must live in Utah. This position is primarily work-from-home, 9 am-5 pm MST. However, we require our team to be able to gather for in-person working sessions or client sprints on occasion. We conduct several off-site creative sprints with clients every year that require overnight stays.
  • Agency background and direct client interaction (presenting work, fielding feedback, building relationships) is a major plus.

Job Description:

  • Work directly with clients on branding, web, and ongoing marketing support.
  • Wear several hats, including managing your own projects and timelines.
  • Creative exploration and strategic thinking— you both come up with ideas and execute on them.
  • Typically work on around 2-4 projects/clients at a time.
  • We offer competitive pay, benefits, PTO, and 401 (k) matching

With your application, send us:

  • A brief, 2-3 sentence intro about you.
  • Your location
  • What you’re looking for from a job (types of projects, salary expectations, etc.)
  • A link to your portfolio
