  • Manage VMware vSphere health, lifecycle, and capacity across customer estates.
  • Lead infrastructure refresh programs spanning hyperconverged infrastructure, compute, and storage, including design, vendor selection, migration planning, and execution oversight.
  • Own enterprise firewall operations, including centralized firewall management and policy lifecycle.
  • Drive backup posture using Veeam Backup & Replication, including image‑based recovery design and disaster recovery runbook execution with regular restore drills.
  • Coordinate ISP escalations and circuit‑level issues across multi‑site customer environments.
  • Serve as the technical liaison between customers and Jolera’s shared Network and Compute / Storage / Backup engineering bench.
  • Provide on‑site technical leadership during customer change advisory boards, design sessions, and incident response activities.
Who You Are
  • 7+ years in enterprise infrastructure engineering across compute and networking.
  • Deep VMware vSphere experience, including vCenter, DRS, HA, and Lifecycle Manager.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with cloud‑managed networking platforms (Meraki, Aruba Central, or equivalent) covering switching, wireless, and security appliances.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, or equivalent) and centralized firewall management.
  • Hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) experience on any major platform (Nutanix, VMware vSAN, Cisco HyperFlex, or Dell VxRail).
  • Hands‑on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication, including image‑based recovery design and disaster recovery configuration.
  • Located in or near Troy, MI, or willing to relocate. On‑site three to five days per week is non‑negotiable for this role.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience leading a hyperconverged infrastructure refresh or migration project.
  • Veeam certifications such as VMCE (Veeam Certified Engineer) or VMCA (Veeam Certified Architect).
  • Exposure to additional enterprise backup and recovery platforms such as Commvault, Rubrik, or Cohesity.
  • Virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) exposure on Citrix, VMware Horizon, or Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Cisco or VMware certifications (CCNA, CCNP, VCP, VCAP).
  • Prior MSP, MSSP, or Global Systems Integrator (GSI) experience.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow as the system of record for change, incident, and problem management.
  • Automation experience using PowerShell, Python, or vendor APIs for infrastructure operations.
