Venteon Finance is currently seeking a Manager, Tax & Accounting for a growing local CPA firm in the Metro-Detroit area. We are seeking an experienced CPA that can oversee client engagements and support the continued growth of our firm. This role is ideal for a CPA with strong technical tax and accounting knowledge who enjoys working directly with business owners.
Requirements of the Manager, Tax & Accounting
  • 5+ years of public accounting experience
  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting
  • CPA license required
  • Strong experience with both individual and business tax returns
  • Proven ability to review work and mentor or support staff
  • Experience with multi-entity and flow-through taxation
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Hands-on experience with bookkeeping, general ledger, and close processes
  • Experience with payroll tax filings and sales tax compliance (including multi-state)
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities of the Manager, Tax & Accounting
  • Manage and review business and individual tax returns
  • Oversee financial statement preparation
  • Review bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting services for business clients
  • Assist clients with tax planning, business structuring, and advisory
  • Support firm leadership with workflow management
  • Identify opportunities for additional services with existing clients
