Position Summary:

The Part-Time Tax Coordinator provides critical administrative and operational support to the Tax Department. Maintains business licenses and annual reports, manages physical mail, monitors and responds to emails in the tax inbox, assists the team with sales/use tax tasks and audit data collection, and assists with other tax projects.

What you will do:

  • Coordinates, reviews, and tracks compliance filings for various business licenses and annual reports across required jurisdictions.

  • Manages physical mail intake for the tax department, including sorting, scanning, and routing time-sensitive notices.

  • Monitors the tax department email inbox, answering routine customer and internal inquiries or routing more complex issues to the appropriate team member.

  • Assists with income tax payments and compliance.

  • Assists with sales and use tax compliance inquiries, certificate maintenance, or customer credits.

  • Supports the team during government audits by pulling requested financial data, documents, and historical invoices.

  • Performs other administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.

When you will work:

  • This is a part-time position requiring 24 hours per week. We offer excellent schedule flexibility to fit your lifestyle, with two primary options:

  • 5 days a week (approx. 4-5 hours per day), which allows for a hybrid.

  • 3 days a week (8 hours per day), which requires being fully in-person at our office for all three days.

  • We are happy to discuss which structure works best for you during the interview process.

What you bring to the table:

  • 2+ years of administrative experience required.

  • Education: Associate's degree required.

  • Experience in tax or accounting is highly preferred (though not required), alongside an awareness of current industry trends.

  • High level of accuracy, thoroughness, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Ability to develop creative solutions to a variety of issues, utilizing both established company policies and fresh perspectives.

  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and consistently meet recurring deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for handling both customer and internal inquiries.

  • A team-oriented mindset focused on achieving company and individual goals, paired with strong personal accountability.
