UnityPoint Clinic is actively recruiting for an Express Care Advanced Practitioner to join our team in Fort Dodge, IA.

UnityPoint Health – Fort Dodge provides coordinated clinic, hospital and home-based care for patients in Fort Dodge and surrounding communities. As a designated regional referral center Trinity Regional Medical Center offers a wide range of primary and secondary care services. Trinity is accredited by DNV Healthcare Inc. and has achieved Pathway to Excellence designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

  • Full-time opportunity practicing in a concierge model Urgent Care
  • Clinic open 8am-8pm x 365 days per year
  • No appointments necessary
  • Fully integrated system with clinic and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordination

  • 34 hours a week (Weekday shifts - 8:00-3:00PM, Weekend 8-8P)
  • 1:4 Weekend and holiday rotation
  • Provide medical treatment for minor illnesses, injures and offer select diagnostic tests
  • Prescribe treatment, educate patients and refer for follow up care as needed
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent assessment skills
  • Provide high quality care to all ages
  • Patients per day varies depending on the season 
  • No call requirements
  • Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
  • Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Board Certified
  • 1-2 years of provider experience preferred
  • Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa
  • Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
  • Eligible to work in the United States
