About This Role
Formwork Carpenter needed in Fayetteville, GA. This is hands-on work building, assembling and tearing down formwork for concrete foundations, walls, columns and slabs. Pay is $28-$32/hr. You'll measure, cut and install wood and metal form components, set anchor bolts and embed plates, and work from construction drawings. Must be comfortable with hand and power tools, physical labor, and following layout and alignment instructions on job sites.
What You'll Do
  • Build, assemble and align formwork systems for foundations, walls, columns and slabs
  • Measure, mark and accurately cut lumber, plywood and metal components to plan
  • Install anchor bolts, steel embed plates and related fixtures into formwork
  • Strip and wreck formwork after concrete has cured while protecting finished concrete
  • Read and work from construction drawings and layout documents; check levels and alignment

What We're Looking For
  • Hands-on experience with concrete formwork carpentry and general rough carpentry
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints on site
  • Proficient measuring, cutting, leveling and alignment skills; comfortable with hand and power tools
  • Experience installing anchor bolts, steel embeds and basic steel pipe placement
  • Physically able to lift, climb, bend and work in varying weather; reliable attendance and punctuality

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years experience in concrete formwork carpentry preferred
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Fayetteville job sites
  • OSHA-10 or other safety training preferred
