Job Title: Concrete CarpenterJob Description

This role focuses on building and installing formwork that shapes concrete into foundational structures such as walls, columns, and slabs. You will work closely with project leaders, interpret technical drawings, and use a variety of tools to construct precise, high-quality concrete forms while adhering to strict safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with project leaders to understand the full scope of work and project expectations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical drawings to plan and execute formwork.
  • Measure, cut, and shape lumber or other materials into structural molds for concrete placement.
  • Construct and prepare structural forms for bulkheads, walls, columns, and slabs according to blueprints.
  • Use a wide variety of hand tools and power tools, such as drills, saws, and hammers, to complete daily tasks.
  • Clean tools and equipment regularly and perform general routine maintenance to keep them in safe working condition.
  • Inspect completed forms on a regular basis to ensure they meet quality, accuracy, and dimensional requirements.
  • Follow all company-mandated safety procedures and OSHA safety guidelines while working onsite.
  • Assist with general labor duties as directed by the foreman or project manager to support overall project progress.
  • Participate in post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement.
Essential Skills
  • At least 1+ year of concrete carpentry experience.
  • Hands-on experience in concrete construction and formwork.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical drawings.
  • Basic knowledge of setting forms for bulkheads, walls, columns, and slabs.
  • Understanding of the terms plumb, level, and straight as they relate to concrete structures.
  • Proficiency using hand tools such as hammers, drills, and saws.
  • Proficiency using power tools commonly used in concrete and carpentry work.
  • Familiarity with concrete, rebar placement, and finishing processes.
  • Ability to follow OSHA safety guidelines and site-specific safety procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • OSHA 10 Certification, or willingness to obtain it with employer-provided training.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification, or willingness to obtain it with employer-provided training.
  • Experience working with concrete forms for walls, columns, and slabs.
  • Experience in concrete finishing and rebar work.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with project leaders, foremen, and other crew members.
  • Willingness to assist with general labor tasks as needed to support project completion.
Why Work Here?

You will join a team that values safety, craftsmanship, and continuous learning. The organization supports your professional growth by offering training opportunities such as OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid certifications. You can expect a collaborative environment where your input on process improvements is encouraged through post-project evaluations, and where your skills in concrete carpentry are recognized and developed over time.

Work Environment

This is a first-shift role, with work hours that may vary depending on project needs. You will work primarily on active construction sites, building and preparing concrete formwork for structural elements such as walls, columns, and slabs. The environment involves regular use of hand tools and power tools including drills, saws, and hammers, as well as working around concrete, rebar, and formwork systems. Safety is a core focus, with adherence to OSHA guidelines and company safety procedures.
