Job description

About This Role
Join a local crew in Carrollton, GA as a Concrete Worker. You'll be on small-to-medium residential and commercial pours-forming, pouring, finishing, and cleanup. This job is physical, outdoors, and steady work for people who know how to handle concrete tools and stay on schedule. Pay ranges $18-26/hr DOE, with overtime when available. Typical schedule is Monday-Friday with occasional Saturday work. You'll work with hand and power tools, set forms, screed and finish concrete, and keep the site safe and clean. Reliable attendance and a good work ethic matter more than a fancy resume.
What You'll Do
  • Set and brace forms, place rebar, and prepare subgrade for pours
  • Mix, pour, screed, and finish concrete for sidewalks, driveways, slabs, and curbs
  • Operate hand and power finishing tools (bull float, trowel, edger, jointer, power screed)
  • Read simple layout stakes/levels and follow foreman plans for slopes and elevations
  • Clean and maintain tools and equipment, handle site cleanup, and perform basic concrete repairs/patching

What We're Looking For
  • 1-3 years hands-on concrete or flatwork experience preferred
  • Able to perform heavy physical work: lift 50-75+ lbs, kneel, squat, and work on your feet all day
  • Familiar with finishing techniques (troweling, edging, broom finish) and basic formwork
  • Reliable transportation to job sites in and around Carrollton, GA and punctual attendance
  • Willingness to work outdoors in heat, rain, and cold; follow safety rules and wear PPE

Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
  • OSHA-10 or equivalent safety training preferred (can be completed on hire)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Basic English for reading instructions and safety signs; Spanish-speaking crew members common
  • Previous concrete apprenticeship or trade school coursework is a plus
