Job description

Labcorp is seeking a Manager I - Dose Formulation to join our team in Greenfield, IN!
Job Responsibilities:
Manages the operations of the Formulations Department ensuring that all deliverables are met in support of toxicology studies.
  • Liaise with Study Directors, Toxicologists and other support groups to determine requirements from the Formulations Department for the support of each toxicology study.
  • Plan and schedule the activities of the Department to meet the applicable timelines.
  • Manage the operations of the Department, ensuring that all departmental practices are performed in accordance with Covance SOP's, P&P's and government regulations.
  • Provide direct supervision of technical and supervisory staff.
  • Responsible for performance evaluations, staffing decisions and other personnel activities for the Department.
  • Evaluate resource requirements and prepare budgets.
  • Direct the training of staff and ensure that all required documentation is maintained.
  • Report all animal care concerns and become involved in the resolution and appropriate corrective action, when necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Biology, or Biochemistry
  • 8 or more years of experience in scientific research
  • 3 or more years of experience as team lead, supervisor or manager

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3 or more years of experience with dose formulation

Additional Job Standards:
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written.
  • Ability to demonstrate computer proficiency, including word-processing and spreadsheet software, such as MS Word and Excel.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective time management and resource planning.
