                                                                                                 2nd Shift Vacuum Former

Location: Greenville, Michigan

Reports to: Production Supervisor


Composition Brands, renowned leaders in premium refrigeration and ice products, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Vacuum Former to support our manufacturing operations. This role is critical in producing high-quality formed components that meet our standards for craftsmanship, performance, and customer satisfaction.

As a Vacuum Former, you will play an important role in the production process by operating vacuum forming equipment, monitoring product quality, and supporting production goals in a safe and efficient manner.

Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. General hours are Monday through Thursday, 2:30 p.m. - 1:00 a.m., plus overtime when required (Friday and Saturday if needed).


Position Overview:

This position requires an energetic, safety-conscious, and detail-focused individual who wants to be part of a growing team and company. The Vacuum Former is responsible for operating vacuum forming equipment, maintaining product quality standards, and supporting production requirements while following established safety procedures.


Responsibilities:

  • Operate vacuum forming equipment according to established procedures and production requirements.
  • Set up, monitor, and adjust machine settings to ensure quality production output.
  • Inspect formed parts to verify compliance with quality specifications and standards.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment and process issues and communicate concerns to supervision.
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation as required.
  • Ensure materials are available and properly staged for production runs.
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment and work area.
  • Follow all established safety procedures, quality standards, and work instructions.
  • Assist with cross-training and support other production operations as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate manufacturing equipment safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to stand on concrete surfaces for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work shifts and overtime hours as mandated by management.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
