What You'll Do

As a Concrete Form Setter, you'll be responsible for helping build the foundation of successful projects by ensuring formwork, layouts, and concrete placements are completed with precision and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set, align, brace, and secure concrete forms for:
    • Foundations
    • Footings
    • Slabs
    • Retaining walls
    • Structural concrete elements
  • Measure, cut, and assemble formwork according to project plans and specifications.
  • Perform layout work and verify elevations, dimensions, and alignment.
  • Install rebar and assist with site preparation before concrete placement.
  • Support concrete pours to ensure forms remain accurate and secure throughout the process.
  • Assist with concrete finishing using tools such as bull floats, power screeds, and hand-finishing equipment.
  • Work closely with foremen, finishers, and crew members to complete projects safely and on schedule.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site.
  • Follow all company and OSHA safety requirements.

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • 5+ years of concrete form setting, forming, or concrete carpentry experience.
  • At least 6 months of hands-on concrete finishing experience.
  • Strong understanding of formwork systems, concrete placement, and construction practices.
  • Ability to read tape measures and perform accurate layout and measurement work.
  • Experience on residential, commercial, or mixed-use construction projects.
  • Ability to work outdoors in Arizona conditions.
  • Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel between job sites throughout the Phoenix metro area.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to craftsmanship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with custom residential construction.
  • Experience reading blueprints and construction drawings.
  • Knowledge of grade work and site preparation.
  • Leadership experience or interest in advancing into lead positions.
