Forklift Operator

Wood Personnel is in partnership with a large distribution center located in Portland, TN who is currently hiring for Forklift Operators. Start your next career move today. Forklift Operator Compensation and Hours:

Forklift Operator Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must have valid driver’s license or clean MVR report
  • Must have 6+ months of solid fork lift operation experience, within the last 3 years
  • Sit down, Standup, Turret Truck, and Cherry Picker forklift experience required

Forklift Operator Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to operate forklifts and cherry pickers
  • Accurately pick parts throughout the warehouse
  • Weigh product using the proper scales
  • Check part numbers and quantities with a high degree of accuracy
  • Accurately pack orders into shipping cartons, verifying all components of the order are accounted for the correct customer
  • Responsible for reading customer order notes and filling the order with any special customer requirements
  • Maintain stock of warehouse and shipping supplies
  • Assist in counting physical inventory; perform inventory audits as needed
  • Notify Department Lead or Department Supervisor of any stock shelf issues
  • Report defective materials/product, shortages and/or questionable conditions to the lead or supervisor
