Job description

Weyerhaeuser's Oregon trucking operation is seeking to fulfill a Shop Utility position at our Goshen, OR location. Weyerhaeuser is a premier timber and wood products company with over 125 years in the industry. Our roots run deep in the PNW with tree farms and manufacturing strategically located to provide sustainable products to our customers for years to come. We are seeking individuals who desire to work safely in a market-focused logging environment, while maintaining a positive attitude and good work ethic.

This is a union position. The workforce is represented by the International Association of Machinists (IAM). The rate of pay is $25.02 per hour. Holiday, vacation health insurance, and 401k benefits are provided, as defined by the collective bargaining agreement. 
Key Functions:

  • Work in fast-paced environment in varying weather conditions
  • Responsible for washing log trucks and other equipment as necessary
  • Perform miscellaneous clean up duties 
  • Inventory and track supplies (filters, lubricants etc.)
  • Other utility work as assigned and flow to work as needed to support trucking operations
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Demonstrated commitment and ability to work safely in both an individual and team environment
  • Excellent listening and communication skills; ability to demonstrate open, honest, and regular exchange of information, and treat all employees with respect and dignity
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment physical, drug test and background check
