What is a forestry assistant?

Forestry Assistants are professionals who support foresters in managing, conserving, and restoring forested areas. Their work includes tasks such as collecting data on tree growth, monitoring wildlife, assisting in fire prevention, and helping implement conservation plans. They often work outdoors, conducting surveys and maintaining forest health. Forestry Assistants play a vital role in ensuring the sustainable use and protection of forest resources.

What does a forestry assistant do?

Forestry Assistants typically spend their days supporting forest management activities, such as conducting field surveys, collecting data on tree health, and assisting with reforestation projects. They often work closely with foresters, technicians, and sometimes the public, especially during educational outreach or community planting events.
