Job description

Our client in Greenville, SC is growing due to increased demands across multi-discipline projects, including civil, mechanical, electrical, and forensic engineering. They are expanding their Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) services to better support regional clients—and are looking for a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Mechanical Engineering to help lead that growth. This is a direct hire position for our client.

Salary: $70,000 to $120,000 Depending on Experience

Location: Greenville, SC (100% Onsite)

What You’ll Do

As a PE Mechanical Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, reviewing, and delivering high-quality MEP systems across a variety of projects.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Lead the design and engineering of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and fire protection systems
  • Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and equipment selection
  • Produce construction drawings, specifications, and details using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Conduct site visits, review submittals, and support construction administration
  • Collaborate with electrical, civil, and structural teams for integrated designs
  • Mentor junior engineers/designers and perform QA/QC reviews
  • Support client meetings, schedules, budgets, and project coordination
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience with HVAC, plumbing, piping, and fire protection design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Working knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, and state/local mechanical codes
  • Previous Project Management experience
  • Forensic engineering or failure analysis experience a plus
  • LEED acreditation a plus
  • Construction Management background a plus
