We represent hundreds of Midwest dairy farmer members located in seven Midwest states, and we produce about 500 million pounds of cheese and 50 million pounds of butter in plants across our network every year. About This Opportunity
JOB TITLE: Parts Associate - Temporary
POSITION TYPE: Temporary
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
Monday - Friday working 8:00am - 4:00pm
Position Overview
The Parts Associate is responsible for administration and routine operation of the parts storerooms. They will contribute to the organization's success by ensuring storerooms are properly stocked and organized with maintenance parts needed to successfully run the facility.
Key Accountabilities
Maintain parts inventory:
  • Order, issue and receive maintenance parts ensuring use from an approved list of vendors.
  • Issue parts received to open work orders and place parts in proper location within parts rooms.
  • Ensure inventory is ready and available for use.
  • Communicate with stakeholders and participate in cycle counts of parts.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance technicians ensuring proper parts availability and issue parts for use.

Perform data entry and analyze reports:
  • Utilize the maintenance software system to enter data to generate reports and track parts usage.
  • Assigned parts received to open work orders.
  • Maintain inventory control documents.

Establish and maintain vendor relationships:
  • Verify shipments and quantities received.
  • Collaborate with suppliers regarding late deliveries.
  • Secure vendor quotes for parts.
  • Issue purchase orders.

This role adheres to the requirements of and supports the need for monitoring and/or verifying of control points and maintaining the related required documentation. For example, Critical Control Points(CCP), Preventive Controls(PC), Critical Quality Points(CQP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points(HACCP), and Safe Quality Food(SQF) plans. This is not an all-inclusive list.
Other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. 1-3 years of job-related experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Warehouse inventory control experience.
