Carpenter must possess the following knowledge:

  • current practices, materials, hand and power tools, & other equipment as needed
  • cabinetry and counter top construction, installation and/or assembly
  • installation practices for paint-grade and stain-grade millwork
  • State and local building codes, regulation and ordinances
  • basic estimating
  • basic plumbing and electrical
  • basic painting and drywall finishing
  • intermediate computer skills

Carpenter must possess ability to:

  • prepare, read, interpret, & work from sketches, drawings, plans,& blueprints
  • perform skilled rough & finish carpentry work
  • operate tools & machines of the construction trade
  • lift and carry heavy tools/materials
  • provide leadership &cooperate with field staff,office staff, clients, vendors & subcontractors
  • keep accurate records

Successful Carpenter will:

  • determine the most efficient work procedures and techniques for assigned staff to ensure timely completion of projects & make sure that safety procedures are followed
  • perform service calls for emergency repairs
  • estimate job costs and prepare material lists
  • assist Project Manager with technical input concerning work in progress
  • inspect projects for maintenance and safety issues
  • maybe required to schedule and oversee subcontractors assigned to project
  • some local and national travel may be required.

Lead responsibilities include guidance and instruction on techniques, methods, and procedures for accomplishing assigned tasks and solving problems.

Additional Requirements: Must be able to manage 3-5 person team.Must have valid driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation.Must have at least 5 years experience as a Lead Carpenter/Foreman.Must be flexible, as some evenings, weekends and overtime may be required.Must be able to pass a background check.
