What is Foreign Medical Graduate Insurance?

Foreign Medical Graduate Insurance is a type of health insurance designed specifically for international medical graduates (IMGs) who are training, studying, or working in a new country, such as the United States. This insurance helps cover medical expenses, including doctor visits, hospital stays, and prescriptions, which may not be fully covered by standard student or travel insurance. It is often required by residency programs or visa sponsors to ensure IMGs have adequate health coverage during their stay. The coverage options may vary based on the individual's visa status, duration of stay, and the requirements of their training program.
