Job description

Maine Medical Center, Biddeford, is seeking a full-time, Board-Certified Obstetrics and Gynecology physician, to join our dedicated team in Biddeford, Maine as the Associate Medical Director (AMD). This is an exciting opportunity to lead a practice committed to delivering exceptional care while maintaining a strong work-life balance.

The successful candidate will join a well-established practice of 7 physicians and 2 Nurse Practitioners. This is a full-scope OB/GYN practice, offering a mix of office, gynecologic surgery including robotic surgery, and obstetrics. This position benefits from an academic affiliation with Maine Medical Center and the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, providing the opportunity to teach both residents and medical students. Call is shared, with 1: 7 weekend call.

As a Level 1 Maternal Center, Maine Medical Center Biddeford delivers 450 babies annually. Join us and you will find supportive, collaborative colleagues; strong patient/provider relationships with deep roots in the local community; comprehensive resources and advanced technologies, including fully integrated Epic EMR.

Maine Medical Center, Biddeford benefits from a close, collaborative working relationship with Maine Medical Center's Portland campus. The Portland campus serves as the academic medical center of MaineHealth. This provides the Biddeford campus ample access to specialty and sub-specialty health care services in all disciplines as well as within the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology along with research and additional medical education opportunities. Sub-specialty referral and consultation includes urogynecology, maternal-fetal medicine, gynecologic oncology, reproductive endocrinology & infertility, pediatric & adolescent gynecology, and complex family planning services.

The ideal candidate is board certified and has 5 or more years of experience in full-scope obstetrics and gynecology. In addition to excellent clinical skills, we seek a candidate with strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated leadership and operational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment in a large, dynamic health system. A strong interest in teaching is essential, as the Associate Medical Director will help oversee the graduate and undergraduate medical education in obstetrics and gynecology at Maine Medical Center Biddeford.

Qualifications:

  • MD/DO from an accredited medical school

The annual base salary for this position is $390,000.
