Associate, Foreign Exchange Trade Support

Commercial Client Operations (CCO) is one of the largest divisions in the Commercial Bank, this team's scope is horizontal across the bank and as such it supports numerous critical processes and transactions. By incubating innovative solutions and embracing technology, this team creates an unforgettable and unparalleled experience for our associates and clients.

One of the most impactful groups in the CML Ops team is the Capital Markets Derivatives Operations team (CMDO). CMDO provides operational support for the CML Bank's Commodities, FX and Interest Rate Derivatives Desks. Partnering with the Capital Markets Business, Treasury Management,

and other Commercial Bank operational teams, the organization is responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate transactions and lifecycle processing across a broad range of products and services. CMDO collectively focuses on delivering scale and efficiency, nailing operational risk, providing a beautiful client experience, and enabling our talented associates to excel. The team is currently growing and searching to fill a role as an Associate within the FX Trade Support Team.

Ideal Candidate:

The Derivative Operations - Foreign Exchange Trade Support team is responsible for Trade Capture and Sales Support for Foreign Exchange derivative products. Partnership with the business, derivatives trading and other operational teams to support the full derivative life cycle is a critical function of the team. You will interact with regional teams and a broad base of domestic counterparties.

This individual's responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Work on Trade Confirmations details and to assist in resolving any discrepancies

  • Liaison with the Settlement team on all cash flow items

  • Provide a variety of internal support functions relating to the confirmation, payment, documentation, and exceptional treatment of all transactions

  • Assist the Settlements team in chasing, following-up and resolving client's outstanding payments

  • Liaison with the Bank's Commercial Clients and Major Institutions to make sure trades are affirmed

  • Participate in testing for system enhancements

  • Book and amend FX derivative trades into the booking system

  • Report Real Time & Primary Economic terms to the SDR in compliance with Dodd Frank expectations (DTCC)

  • Perform daily trade booking and checkouts with Front Office

  • Tie out, analyze and obtain 3rd party support for daily marks

  • Generate, analyze and submit for approval daily Flash P&L reports

  • Run system End of Day Process

  • Familiarity with Cleared trades and FCM processing

  • Liaison with Valuation, Accounting and Risk teams to make sure the FX portfolio is correctly marked

  • Be an active participant in scaling the FX Derivatives Business.

  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes impacting Foreign Exchange Derivatives Business and Industry

  • Develop relationships with external clients to gain market understanding and awareness

  • Proactively seek appropriate internal or external training to maintain professional expertise

  • Formulate and document user requirements and procedures to implement functional solutions to technical systems and improve or automate daily processes

  • Develop and participate in the daily management of controls and procedures

  • Provide superior internal and external client services in all areas of interaction

  • Work on regulatory related reporting and activities for Swap Dealer requirements

  • Reconcile conversion rates with Bloomberg

Work from Home Technology Requirements:

    • A private network that is password protected where you have ownership or line of sight to every device on the network

    • Internet service must be provided by Cable or fiber Internet Service Provides (ISP)

    • Hotspots and satellite services are prohibited and do not meet performance criteria required for optimal agent/customer interactions

    • ISP download speeds on VPN must be at least 5Mbps, with 10+ Mbps preferred

    • To validate ISP speeds from a Chrome browser, go to www.google.com, type Speed Test and run from the Google landing page

  • Both Hardwire and WiFI internet connections are acceptable as long as speed and security requirements are met

Work from Home Living Requirements:

  • Candidates must live within approximately 50 miles from one of the hub locations based in 28203, 75024, or 23238 and be comfortable coming in person whenever required with no less than 24 hours notice.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

  • At least 1 year of experience working in financial services

  • At least 1 year of experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) or Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience

  • 2+ years of experience with the Foreign Exchange Products

  • 2+ years of experience with market data providers (Bloomberg, Refinitiv)

  • 2+ years of experience with Financial Settlement Instructions or SWIFT

  • 2+ years of experience with Swaps and Derivatives Products

  • 2+ years of experience working on QA or UAT testing and audits

  • 2+ years of experience with Swap Dealer regulations and DTCC

  • 2+ years of experience with Excel (V-lookup, Pivot Tables, Macros)
