Sales Analyst

Quick Cable, Inc.

Job description

Overview
QuickCable is looking for a Sales Analyst to be the analytical engine behind our commercial team. This is a data and insight role that sits inside Sales: you will turn orders, quotes, pipeline, and customer data into the reporting, forecasting, and analysis our sales team rely on every week. Reporting to the VP of Sales, you will partner closely with sales representatives, customer service, marketing, and operations. This is a high-visibility seat at a company small enough that your analysis directly shapes what we do next, and it is a strong launch point for a career in sales operations, product management, or commercial leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Reporting & Analytics
  • Own the recurring reporting cadence for the commercial team, including bookings, backlog, revenue, and margin by customer, product family, channel, and territory.
  • Analyze sales performance against plan and prior year, and identify the specific accounts, products, and regions driving the variance.
  • Track quote activity and win/loss outcomes, and surface patterns in pricing, lead time, and competitive losses.
  • Build and maintain dashboards that give sales representatives and leadership self-service visibility into their numbers.
  • Deliver ad-hoc analysis for the VP of Sales and executive team on customer profitability, product mix, and growth opportunities.

Forecasting & Sales Planning
  • Support the monthly sales forecast process, consolidating representative and account-level inputs into a single demand view.
  • Measure forecast accuracy over time and work with the sales team to improve it.
  • Provide the commercial inputs to sales and operations planning so the plant can plan capacity, materials, and inventory with confidence.
  • Assist with annual budgeting, territory and quota planning, and customer and product-level growth targets.

Customer, Channel & Market Insight
  • Analyze distributor sell-through and point-of-sale data to understand where our products are actually landing in the market.
  • Track performance of key accounts, distribution partners, and rebate or incentive programs against agreed terms.
  • Monitor customer concentration, share of wallet, and attrition signals, and flag at-risk accounts early.
  • Support market sizing, competitive research, and target account development for new business initiatives.

Pricing & Quote Support
  • Support the sales team on customer quotes, RFQs, and pricing requests, with a focus on turnaround times that meet customer expectations.
  • Model pricing scenarios for new business, contract renewals, and price adjustments, including the impact of copper and other commodity movement.
  • Maintain price lists, customer-specific pricing, and discount structures in our ERP and CRM systems.
  • Ensure quotes and pricing changes follow QuickCable approval authority and documentation requirements.

Systems, Data Integrity & Process
  • Own the accuracy and completeness of customer, pipeline, and sales data in the CRM and ERP.
  • Serve as a power user of our commercial systems and help train the sales team to use them well.
  • Participate in system implementation, enhancement, and testing work related to sales reporting and analytics.
Identify and drive improvements to commercial reporting, processes, and data governance
