Ford Field Mobile Service Technician
Location: Davie, FL 33314
Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience and certifications + generous signing bonus of $6,000!


About the Position

Model 1 Ford is looking for an experienced Ford Field Mobile Service Technician to support our customers directly at their locations. This role involves on-site diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance across a variety of vehicle platforms. Weโ€™re seeking a technician who can work independently, troubleshoot efficiently, and deliver outstanding customer service while representing our team in the field.


What Youโ€™ll Do
  • Travel to customer sites to perform service, repairs, and technical support

  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify issues and complete necessary repairs

  • Conduct routine maintenance and detailed inspections following OEM and company guidelines

  • Handle light and medium-duty repair work, including:

    • HVAC systems

    • Electrical and electronic components

    • Brake, suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems

    • Transmission and transaxle repairs

    • Gas and diesel engine performance

  • Complete all paperwork, repair orders, and documentation accurately and promptly

  • Assess vehicles for potential warranty work, required maintenance, or upgrade options

  • Provide customer instruction on proper operation and care of equipment when needed

  • Maintain responsive communication and deliver a professional service experience

  • Safely operate shop and field equipment and maintain an organized work environment

  • Consistently meet or exceed an 85% efficiency rating


What You Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • At least 2 years of experience in an automotive repair environment (light or medium duty)

  • Background or credentials in any of the following:

    • Automotive (A1โ€“A9)

    • Medium/Heavy Truck (T1โ€“T8)

    • School Bus (S1โ€“S7)

    • Transit Bus (H1โ€“H8)

  • Ability to obtain a CDL with passenger and air brake endorsements

  • Ability to pass and maintain required ASE certifications

  • Strong diagnostic abilities and confidence working independently

  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset

  • Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor or train when needed

  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented


Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs.+

  • Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in tight spaces

  • Adept at handling tools and performing fine-motor tasks

  • Ability to maintain CDL medical and driving qualifications
