AUTOMOTIVE DETAILER - FORD CITY, PA
Are you an experienced Automotive Detailer, Car Detailer, Vehicle Detailer, or Auto Body Detailer looking for a full-time opportunity in the Ford City or Kittanning area?
Diehl Collision of Ford City is hiring a dependable, detail-oriented Automotive Detailer to join our busy collision repair team in Ford City, Pennsylvania.
This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in making vehicles look their best and understands the level of quality required in a professional collision center environment.
As an Automotive Detailer, you'll be responsible for cleaning and preparing repaired vehicles before they are returned to customers. You'll work closely with our Body Technicians, Painters, Estimators, and collision center team to ensure every completed vehicle meets our standards for appearance and presentation.
AUTOMOTIVE DETAILER RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Automotive Detailer at Diehl Collision of Ford City, your responsibilities may include:
• Wash and detail vehicles following collision repairs
• Perform complete interior and exterior vehicle cleaning
• Vacuum and clean vehicle interiors
• Clean carpets, floor mats, seats, dashboards, consoles, and interior surfaces
• Clean windows, mirrors, wheels, tires, and exterior surfaces
• Remove dust and debris associated with collision and body repairs
• Buff and polish vehicle surfaces as needed
• Perform paint correction and finish work when qualified
• Assist with wet sanding and buffing when needed and qualified
• Remove minor imperfections from finished vehicle surfaces
• Clean vehicles before final delivery to customers
• Inspect completed vehicles for cleanliness and presentation
• Apply automotive detailing and cleaning products correctly
• Maintain detailing equipment, supplies, and work areas
• Move vehicles safely throughout the collision center
• Assist with vehicle preparation and general collision center duties as needed
• Follow dealership and collision center safety procedures
• Help ensure every repaired vehicle is clean and ready for customer delivery
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate will have:
• Previous Automotive Detailing or Vehicle Detailing experience preferred
• Collision center or auto body shop detailing experience is a plus
• Experience washing and professionally cleaning vehicles
• Buffing and polishing experience is preferred
• Wet sanding experience is a plus
• Automotive paint correction experience is a plus
• Knowledge of automotive detailing products and equipment
• Ability to identify and remove common surface imperfections
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced collision repair environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Professional attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to safely move and park customer vehicles
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
